Jaime ReyesGonzalez was born in Puerto Rico. He is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. He holds a Master degree with a dual focus on Counseling in Psychology and Education Counseling from Bowie State University in Maryland (2009). He retired in 2009 from the military after 20 years and 3 tours in Iraq as a Non-Commissioned Officer counseling Soldiers and their families in many areas. His clinical training was done at the U.S. Military Correctional Facility in Mannheim, Germany. Jaime is proficient in English and Spanish and is interested in Latino/Hispanic mental health issues. He is passionate about working with Military families. His past experience included providing intensive in-home services to children and their families focusing on working with the parents to provide a stable environment. He also has worked with addicted individuals and their families. Jaime has provided treatment focus on depression, anxiety, attachment, trauma, PTSD, coping and communication skills, parenting skills, child/adolescents issues, multigeneraltional issues, marital/couple conflicts, and blended families. Jaime is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR Institute, Inc. Jaime serves clients at our Erwin center and a CareNet location in Fayetteville.
